epi-plate

Support and feedback

Last updated: October 9, 2026

We are building epi-plate to be useful in a real kitchen, and we can only do that with your help. Tell us what works, what doesn't, and what you wish it did. Everything you send goes straight to the people who make the app.

Tell us what you think

Email support@epi-plate.com and use the subject line that fits. These are the same four options as Settings in the app.

Send feedback

Subject: epi-plate feedback

What you love, what's missing, what could be better. Anything.

Suggest an ingredient

Subject: epi-plate: ingredient suggestion

A food you'd like to see on its own page.

Report a content issue

Subject: epi-plate: content correction

Something in a recipe, ingredient page, or lesson that looks wrong or unclear.

Report a bug

Subject: epi-plate: bug report

Something broke or didn't do what you expected.

What we'd love to hear

  • What you open epi-plate for most, and what you wish it did instead
  • Anything that confused you, or took more taps than it should
  • Foods, ingredients, or topics you want us to cover next
  • The kinds of recipes you'd like more of: cuisines, meal types, ways of eating
  • A claim about food you've seen online that you'd like us to look into
  • What would make epi-plate easier to recommend to a friend
  • What nearly made you stop using it

Short is fine. One sentence helps. We read what you send and use it to decide what to build and fix; your email address is used only to write back. More in our privacy policy.

Get in touch

The feedback links in the app's Settings also fill in your app version, device model, and iOS version at the bottom of the email. It helps us reproduce a problem, and you can edit or delete it before you send.

Your subscription

epi-plate is a paid app with a free trial. Apple handles billing, cancellation, and refunds, so we can't change them from our side. To manage or cancel: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then choose epi-plate. If you reinstalled the app or changed phones and it asks you to subscribe again, tap Restore on the subscription screen. Refund requests go through Apple.

Your data

epi-plate has no accounts. Your saved recipes, shopping list, favorites, and ratings live on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account, where we can't see them. In the app, Settings has Reset all data, which deletes them from the app on your device. To also remove the copies in your iCloud account, clear the app's data in your iCloud settings. The full details are in our privacy policy.

Scanning a product

Product details come from the Open Food Facts databases, which are built by volunteers around the world. If a barcode isn't found, it isn't in their data yet, and we can't add it from our side.

Importing a recipe from a link

Some websites don't allow it, or don't present their recipe in a form the app can read. If an import comes up empty, try a different link, or import from a photo of the recipe instead.
